BAKER DRIVETRAIN has been making transmissions for use in Big Dog Motorcycles for some time now. So it seems only fitting that when the engineers here dreamed up a new open belt drive, that they made it with Big Dog Motorcycles in mind. Following the Baker Function Formed™ ideal here at BAKER, the strongest and most durable belt drive was born, and it’s the perfect way to set your 2005 or newer Big Dog Motorcycle apart! The SBD isn't available as a stock option, ask your Big Dog dealer for details on getting one installed.

THE NEW BAKER SYNCHRONOUS BELT DRIVE FOR BIG DOG™

Stainless steel pulleys provide added durability.
Comes with a 2.4" wide belt, with 14mm tooth profile for added strength vs. the average competitors size of 8mm.
Outer bearing support ties the crank shaft and main shaft together and to the inner motor plate for three times the stability.
Belt is made with a proprietary profile for a contour that provides full tooth contact.
Included with BAKER’s dependable 5 year warranty

I bet you're wondering what the hell "Synchronous" means in BAKER's dictionary. The answer is simple. Our pulley interface with the belt has full contact in the valleys and spurs. The result is the quietest belt drive available according to the tests. In addition, obviously, wear is minimized compared to all the other belt drives that make contact with the leading edge.
