The DD6 is a bagger's best bet. For touring bikes like FXR models, we highly encourage you to use the BAKER DD6 (Direct Drive 6-Speed). This is our finesse transmission designed with highway speed and miles in mind.

The DD6 has helical BAKER gears in the cruising ranges of 4th, 5th and 6th. This makes those long highway rides smoother and quieter. Conventional straight-cut BAKER gears in 1st through 3rd are chosen to handle the high-torque moments in town, and perhaps with extra load on the bike. The direct drive economizes power transfer in and back out of the transmission thus making it more efficient and quieter as well.
